The obvious answers are:
- Alliteration is fun.
- It’s not too hard to spell.
- The other names I loved were already taken. 😉
The rest of the story…
When I searched for adjectives that start with b, breezy caught my eye. It means windy; fresh, or sprightly. The synonyms are lighthearted, easy, buoyant. I started to get excited. Once you get the hang of it, breastfeeding is one of the easiest things about your baby. Hmm… but buoyant? Besides the more obvious definition of floating, the synonyms to buoyant are cheerful, invigorating, joyful and peppy.
I was a cheerleader in college and I have am quite optimistic by nature so I love a few of those words. One of the things I am most passionate about is helping people see things from a different lens when they’re stressed out. It’s not that I am against suffering. Far from it, I think we grow a lot through suffering. We have had trials. I don’t think we’ll live in a world free from suffering this side of Heaven. However, I’m very passionate about helping others to only carrying the burdens God has asked them to carry.
Throughout our lives, but especially in new motherhood, we get stressed out by many things. It’s really important to ask ourselves if God wants us to worry about that thing or have we taken something from him that’s not ours to hold?
Once we are shouldering only that which God is calling us to, we find it’s light, easy, joyful, dare I say, buoyant? The way I think parenthood and breastfeeding should be. That’s how I started to love the phrase Breezy Breastfeeding.
My goal is to help mamas love their motherhood, especially if they find themselves in a transition such as having their first baby or having lots of littles. Between breastfeeding help, home tips, and growing in faith you can learn to love this stage and be the joyful mama God is calling you to be.
